What was it like when you were at Conway High?

When I was at Conway High I was a little pup; that was a long time ago. A lot of things have changed, but most things have remained the same. You still have the basic high school experience. I remember a lot of things, but mostly game days (Football, and Being Sweet on who is now my wife). Those things haven’t really changed that much. I see my athletes and the kids I associate with doing the same things.

How big was your graduating class?

My graduating class was maybe 325 or something like that.  That is the same it is today or maybe a little larger.

What were the most fun things about Conway High as a student?

Playing high school football

Was teaching your first?

Yes

Where did you go to college and why did you choose that school?

Presbyterian College. I chose that school because it was an excellent academic school, but also because they recruited me to play football.  I played college football and I majored in math so I could teach and coach someday.

What sports did you play in high school?

Track, Baseball, Football

Who was your favorite teacher when you were in high school?

Mrs. Doris Edgepath and she was my English teacher.  I thought she was the prettiest thing I had ever laid eyes on.

If you could change one thing about Conway high what would it be?

I wouldn’t change a whole lot I think Conway high is a reflection of this city and our community, and I like that. There is a wide range of diversity of people, and I like everything about Conway High.  If I could change something I guess it would just be us always winning ever game.

If you could be any animal what would it be?

That’s a question I haven’t thought on. (laughs) Tiger because nobody messes with a tiger and he initiates most points of contact. A tiger can also be gentle with his little tigers, and that is the best answer I know to give you.
