What brought you back to Conway High School?
I love this school. I used to think I wanted to be a teacher, but I LOVE the position I’m in right now.
Are there teachers in CHS today that you had? If so, do you still have a relationship with any of them?
I had Mr. Valliere, Mr. Lynch, and Mr. Reese. Yes, they’re still cool.
What components are different at CHS in comparison to when you were here?
Y’all, 2015 students are different. Therefore, the rules that are in place now weren’t there when I was in school. Back then, we were able to leave and go get people to buy ads in our newspaper, but as time goes by, it was shown that the students were no longer capable of handling that responsibility.
What would you like to see changed at CHS?
I would like to see our students here more motivated and goal oriented, less procrastination, and for them to realize that even as a freshman, their actions can affect them in their senior year.
What advice can you give the upcoming graduating class?
Stay focused, and have a plan. There is a saying that if you don’t have a plan, you can plan to fail.
How would you describe your experience at CHS in 3 words?
I had FUN.
What are the biggest challenges of your job?
As the guidance secretary, you have to multitask, and sometimes I need another me.
What are the highlights?
I love all my kids. My main reason for being here is because I love the connections I build with all of the kids.
If you couldn’t be a teacher, what would your chosen career path be?
I’m a hospitality kind of person because I love people.
If you were able to live anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Dubai, because it is beeeautiful.
