Myrtle Beach locals, and those who visit the Grand Strand have enjoyed Broadway at the Beach for 20 years now. Broadway at the Beach is comprised of a wide range of shops, restaurants, and other fun attractions. Locals and vacationers could spend days exploring the outdoor complex.

With Broadway having so many years invested into all of the shops, restaurants, entertainment venues, and attractions they are not interested in a complete overhaul, but some changes will be made in order to keep things updated, clean, and entertaining. In order to keep all customers and visitors interested in the attractions, restaurants, and shops the management has to come up with a new plan.

It has recently been announced by Broadway that changes will be made in the upcoming months.  Broadway will be introducing several new popular stops within the complex, and the rest of the facility will receive renovations and remodeling. Projects are currently taking place at Klig’s Kites, Senor Frogs, Crocodile Rocks, Pepper Palace, Tiki Jim’s, The Fudgery, Build-A-Bear Workshop, and Fat Tuesday.

However, more venues are opening, such as Dave & Buster’s, a Paula Deen Restaurant, American Taphouse, OZ nightclub, The Beef Jerky Store, Master’s Edition fine Art Gallery, Kilwins, Backstage escape games, and Extreme pizza. However, some places will be closing, such as Planet Hollywood, Magic Quest, Revolutions Nightclub, and Carlos’ and Charlies’.

Many locals are stunned by the changes being made. Local Britney Shelley says, “The changes are going to attract more customers and visitors. Although, it can also prevent many people from wanting to go to Broadway due to taking away some of the popular spots.”

“The new additions to Broadway will make the area a more attractive location for those looking to visit Myrtle Beach, and will hopefully bring this area a lot more business. While some popular spots are being taken away, the new additions offer something for everyone. “I’m excited to see and visit the revamped Broadway at the Beach.”, stated Shanay Clark, a Myrtle Beach local.
